Switching from a blast tool to signal-led outreach
The SignalMail Team · Apr 7, 2026 · 5 min read

If your current tool measures success in sends and open rates, switching to SignalMail is less a migration than a reframe. The mechanics are simple; the change is in what you look at.
What carries over
- Your lists. Export contacts as CSV and import them — there is nothing to leave locked in.
- Your mailboxes. Reconnect Gmail or Outlook over OAuth, or any inbox over SMTP/IMAP.
- Your sequences. Rebuild your steps; multi-step in-thread follow-ups work the way you expect.
What changes
Instead of an open rate, you get a Signal Score per contact that weights replies far above opens. Instead of manually pausing people who reply, the sequence auto-stops on reply. Instead of guessing who is warm, you sort by score and work the top of the list.
What to do first
- Publish SPF, DKIM, and DMARC on your sending domain.
- Connect your mailboxes and let rotation spread the volume.
- Run the deliverability checklist once before your first send.
From there, stop watching sends. Watch signals.
